Privacy Policy
Data
We collect personal and activity data, which may be linked.
We use technologies like cookies (small files stored on your browser), web beacons, or unique device identifiers to identify your computer or device so we can deliver a better experience. Our systems also log information like your browser, operating system and IP address.
We also may collect personally identifiable information that you provide to us, such as your name, law school, address, phone number or email address. Our optional Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive integrations access only files selected by you. We do not access contacts, calendar, messages, camera, or microphone and we do not connect to your social accounts. At checkout, we collect your phone number for your user record and at our waitlist for SMS notification.
Our systems may associate this personal information with your activities in the course of providing service to you (such as pages you view or things you click on or search for).
We do not knowingly contact or collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can promptly obtain parental consent or remove the information.
Location
We collect an approximate city, state, and ZIP code from the IP address of your session and send it to Meta with purchase events. We also process IP addresses for security, fraud prevention, and rate limiting.
Access
You can request to see or delete your personal data. You can sign into your account to see or delete any personally identifiable information we have stored, such as your name, address, email or phone number. You can also contact us by email at support@cubby.law to request to see or delete this information.
Deletion
Data is retained while an account is active and we honor specific deletion requests by support tickets submitted through the app. Data backups are deleted after 30 days. Full account deletion should be accompanied by a request to delete all uploaded content if a user wishes to remove all documents they have uploaded to their workspace. In the event that an account is deleted without a specific request to remove uploaded content, that content remains on Cubby’s servers in an anonymized format.
Sharing and Ad Tracking
We may share personal data with companies we trust.
When you subscribe, we send a purchase event to advertising platforms to measure our ads. It may include your email, phone, IP address and approximate location. It never includes anything you upload. We send server-side conversion events to advertising platforms for attribution on our marketing pages, and no uploaded course content is ever included in those events.
California residents are legally entitled (at no charge and no more than once annually) to request information about how we may have shared your information with others for direct marketing purposes. Contact us for this information: team@cubby.nyc.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Contact
You can ask privacy questions.
If you have any questions or concerns about our privacy policies, please contact us: team@cubby.nyc.
